A:
A private research facility
located in Blue Cove, Delaware. The Centre rears Pretenders whose
talents are used to "simulate" historical events and
scenarios. This research is paid for private and public
corporations. It is now known that, when Miss Parker's great
grandfather arrived to the US, he founded The Centre.

Why did Jarod escape? :.
A:
At some point, years after he was first brought to The Centre,
Jarod found out about the harmful aplications of his work through
the simulations he performed to The Centre. He discovered that
they were using his simulations to cause tragedies and so he
escaped along with Eddie and Alex, two other pretenders. When he
escaped, Sydney, his mentor, and Miss Parker, called from
corporate, were assigned to bring him back.

What is the Triumvirate? :.
A:
It's a group of three people who control The Centre. We know that
one of that persons was Mutumbo and the other one might be Mr.
Parker, because he's head of The Centre, or Mr. Raines. Who knows?

answer that question, I can't, because no name has been given to
us yet.

What are DSAs? :.
A:
DSA stands for
Digital Simulation Archives. They are
the digital disc recordings of all Jarod's simulations and of his
time at The Centre. They are the only existing records covering
over 25 years of research. When Jarod escaped he took all of the
DSAs documenting his captivity at The Centre. The Centre is as
interested in retrieving these stolen DSAs as they are in
capturing Jarod himself.

What happened to Catherine Parker, Miss Parker's mother?

A:
The victim of an apparent gunshot suicide when Miss Parker was
quite young, it is now known her death may have been murder. A DSA
delivered to Miss Parker by Jarod provided evidence that Catherine
Parker was shot four times inside a Centre elevator, following a
counseling session with Sydney. Later is was discovered that
Catherine didn't die in that elevator. Instead, she went with
Raines to a safe house in order to have the baby Ethan. Her trust
in Raines and her belief that he had changed, later lead to her
death, just after giving birth to Ethan.

What about Jarod's family? Who are they? :.
A:
Jarod has been looking
for his family ever since he left The Centre. He found out that he
had a brother who was also brought to The Centre. He was raised by
Mr. Raines and was a sociopath. His name was Kyle and he was
murdered by Mr. Lyle. His heart was donated to a boy who needed a
heart transplant.
His
father's name is Charles and he is a pilot (hence Major Charles).
The first time Jarod saw his father was when he was trying to
rescue his clone, Gemini, and since then they've stayed in touch.
Jarod
also has a sister called Emily. He saw her for the first time in
Boston with their mother. He never saw her again until his father
told him that she was working as a reporter in Philadelphia. When
he got there, he found out that Lyle had tried to kill her. She
survived and is presumably with Major Charles.
His
other brother is Ethan, son of Charles and Catherine Parker.
Raines wanted a pretender that would combine Catherine's inner
sense and Jarod's gift, so he created Ethan. He was raised by a
surrogate family (the Clausen's), who allowed Raines to control
him. Miss Parker's and Jarod's half brother is now in unknown
location.
Jarod
hasn't still managed to meet his mother. He was able to see her in
Boston with Emily, but because of Centre sweepers, he couldn't go
to her. He keeps a picture of her in his case that Sydney gave
him. He saw her again in Carthis, but, once again, he couldn't
reach her in time to meet her. It is known that she knew Catherine
Parker.

Who is Angelo? :.
A:
Angelo
is
a savant who exhibits a sponge-like power to absorb personality
data on others. He originally arrived at The Centre as a young boy
named Timmy, but his identity was destroyed by neuroshock
experiments conducted by Raines in SL-27.
Brought
in on the Jarod Project by Mr. Raines, he spends much of his time
in The Centre's air ducts. It is clear he has great access
to Centre information and has shown a willingness to help Jarod.
He
enjoys the snack Cracker Jack and he
could have been Miss Parker's twin brother.

Who is Jacob? :.
A:
Jacob was Sydney's twin
brother. He also worked for The Centre and he was the one who
brought Jarod. After a car accident with Sydney, Jacob slipped
into a coma. Sydney blames himself for his brother's condition and
used to visit him every Christmas. Thanks to Jarod, Jacob was able
to wake up and tell Sydney that it wasn't his fault and also to
tell him about SL-27. It is known that he wanted to rescue the
children, just like Catherine Parker. Raines wasn't happy to find
out that Jacob was awake, so he sent Miss Parker to kill him, but
she didn't. Later, Sydney took Jacob to a cabin and he died there.

Who is Ben Miller? :.
A: He
is an old friend of Catherine's and could be Miss Parker's father.
He owns a Inn in Maine and Catherine used to spend many time there
with him, usually during Spring.

What is SL-27? :.
A:
It's
a hidden sub-level beneath The Centre discovered by Miss Parker,
Sydney and Broots from information supplied by Jarod. Inside
SL-27, destroyed by a fire in 1982, was discovered a set of files
on Jarod and The Pretender Project, files later hidden away by
Angelo. SL-27 was also the location of Raines' experiments with
Kyle and Angelo. SL-27 may hold the answer to many questions
within The Centre.

Who is really Miss Parker's father? :.
A:
YGIAGAM (Your Guess Is As
Good As Mine!) It is common knowledge that Mr. Parker
probably wasn't Miss Parker's father. That was hinted several
times during the show. Her father could be Ben Miller, the man her
mother visited in Maine. In the first TV movie, Alex told Miss
Parker that her father wasn't Mr. Parker, but he didn't say who it
really was either. In the second TV movie, Sydney and Broots do
some research and learn that Mr. Raines is Mr. Parker's brother
and that Miss Parker is Mr. Raines' daughter. The reason why I'm
still not sure is that we've been led to believe some things and
then proved otherwise. I wouldn't be surprised if Raines turned
out not to be Miss Parker's father. Just my opinion.

He is a strange and funny
guy who tried to sell Jarod to The Centre, when he was suffering

Jarod's help several times and they became friends

that he simply calls "Dog".

It's a
fertility clinic with an
adoption department included. Jarod was born at NuGenesis or was
adopted there by his parents. This clinic is somehow related to
The Centre business, and when some children shows the gift is
immediately taken for experiments.

This
project started in 1959
and had as goals create a clone with success. The Centre wanted to
create a clone of one of the pretenders (like Jarod) So, The
Centre picked up the DNA of that individual and take woman ovules.
However, they needed donor wombs to have the baby. Then these
women disappeared without a trace. The experiments were taken in
Donoterase, a place with a place called Pakor, where the
experiments were held. In end of the season #3 The Centre finally
finish their project successfully with a clone of Jarod.

It's a
project that involves
Catherine Parker. It consists on the creation of a new child,
named Ethan, and son of Catherine and Major Charles. Mr. Parker
wanted a child with the special abilities of Jarod and Catherine's
ability to hear voices (her "inner sense"). Catherine
wanted that Miss Parker, Jarod and Ethan to finish her plan, but
they don't know what that is yet. Lyle, Mr. Parker, Mr. Raines and
Mr. Cox had knowledge of this project, and it was Raines himself
who turned Ethan in what he is now.

It's
a project with the
objective of highly-develop parts of the brain in gifted children
to raise Pretenders. Mr. Raines did used this project in Angelo

A: Fennigor
was a friend of Catherine's that also worked at The Centre. He was
the expeditor who brought Jarod in. He had a talk with Catherine
about rescuing the children, so he might have been the one helping
her. Over the years, Fennigor was being paid by Mr. Parker. He
went every Friday to the Dover Town Bank. So that's why Jarod lead
Miss Parker to the bank that was robbed in the day they were
there. Fennigor was shot and almost died, but thanks to Jarod's
habilities, he didn't. He was taken to The Centre for treatment
and recovered - only to be brainwashed in the Renewal Wing.

Who is Faith? :.
A: She
was a little girl who lived at The Centre. She had leukemia and
was being held there for treatment. Miss Parker, Jarod and Angelo
found her and became her friends. She died shortly after their
meeting. Later on, Miss Parker and Jarod, both in near-death
situations, saw Faith and she helped them to stay alive. Miss
Parker also learned that Faith was her sister, since she was adopted
by Catherine and Mr. Parker.

At the moment, The
Pretender is not available in DVD or VHS and no other merchandise
is available either. However, in France, for instance, The
Pretender is available in VHS.
