Part 1: Prisoner

by Thunderchild

Jarod is sitting at desk and going through papers and he hears a lot of commotion with vehicles and people shouting downstairs. He gets up and walks over to the window and sees Miss Parker, Sydney, Broots, Brigitte, and two sweeper teams. Miss Parker is easy to distinguish because she is wearing her long, white coat with matching pants, dark chocolate-silky shirt, and high-heeled boots.

"You three come with me, the rest surround the area." Miss Parker commands. Jarod curses and starts looking for his gun, while he is looking for his gun he takes a bottle off the desk and goes into the next room to hide and wait. "We’re looking for this man is he here?" Miss Parker shows the desk clerk a picture of Jarod.

"Yes, this is Jarod Smith, he’s in room 215 on the third floor."

"Thanks." Miss Parker mumbles as she walks away. The elevator doors open on the third floor. "Stay here." Miss Parker orders a sweeper. She walks down the hall with the other two sweepers following her. "Go around to the stairs, and you stay out here." Miss Parker orders quietly to the two remaining sweepers, approaching room 215.

Miss Parker opens the door into Jarod’s room quietly and steps in, but she sees nothing because it was so dark. She makes her way cautiously over to the lamp on the desk, while Jarod is sneaking up behind her, gun in hand. Suddenly he closes the gap between them and he puts his hand over her mouth. "Well, well, well, this is an expected welcome." He whispers quietly in her right ear. "You really should come quietly if you want to catch me, now hand over your gun please."

Now Miss Parker is cornered she is getting very irritable and tries to break away, but Jarod is too strong for her. "Now, now, is that any way to treat an old friend? Have you got anyone outside?" Dumbly she nods with Jarod’s hand still covering her mouth. "Well call him in like a good girl." By now Parker is pissed but she cooperates since she isn’t in a position for bargaining.

"Sam, get in here now!" She calls to the sweeper outside of Jarod’s room and immediately after she said that Jarod covers her mouth again and bringing his gun into focus.

When Sam enters he is taken by surprise by what is standing in front of him. "How many others are up here?" Jarod asks the sweeper.

"Two more. Are you all right Miss Parker?" Parker’s glare was her answer, but there was something else in her eyes and Sam didn’t know or care to know.

"Now Sam, call the others on the radio and tell them that Miss Parker is coming out with me." After that Jarod smiled to himself knowing how true that really was. Sam relays the message without any problems.

"Now what?" Sam inquires cautiously because Miss Parker’s eyes were blazing dangerously and it scared him because he knew what she was capable of when she was annoyed, but this time was worse because she is really pissed.

"OK Sam you can go now, take those other two sweepers with you as you go, and tell everyone to back away from a van." Sam exits.

Now Jarod is alone with Miss Parker he starts to talk to her. "Now are you going to be good so I can take my hand away?" Parker groans frustratingly but Jarod takes his hand away anyway.

"You’re not going to get away with this!" She snaps.

"Oh but I am." He laughs "And now lets go for a little walk." He says waking them out of the room holding her lightly by the wrist.

"What are you going to do with me?" She asks sarcastically.

"I’m not really sure yet."

They both get in the elevator and he pushes the button for the ground floor. Jarod releases his hold of Parker’s wrist and she just walks over to the corner and stands there, staring at the floor not noticing that Jarod is looking at her and smiling. The elevator stops with a jerk and Jarod takes hold of Parker’s wrist, this time a little tighter just in case she decides to bolt. They pass the front desk with no problems. As they approach the doors to leave Jarod pulls her closer to him and raises the gun a little. "Now would you please tell everyone to back away and don’t follow or fire." Miss Parker relays the message with no arguments.

Sydney steps out from behind the car and asks. "Are you Okay Miss Parker?" he asked sounding very concerned.

"Fine Syd." She said trying to keep control of her senses and to keep from bolting.

"Now Syd listen carefully, I will call in four hours, with instructions, be ready." Sydney nods understandingly. "But now we really must be going."

Jarod opens the driver’s door of the van and Miss Parker hops in, then Jarod gets in himself and drives off. "We really should do something." Brigitte pipes up, trying to sound like she cares.

"We do nothing until Jarod rings." Sydney snaps at Brigitte and walks away while Broots follows him towards the car.

Jarod stops the van on the outskirts of town and takes a handkerchief out of his pocket. "Now I really don’t want to hurt you, but I have to take precautions." He says smiling softly at her and covering her nose and mouth with the handkerchief which he put chloroform on earlier.

She tries to push it off her face but breathing in the chloroform is making her losing the battle. She collapses next to him. He sits her up in the car, resting her against the door.

An hour later he stopped at a cabin deep in the woods. Miss Parker was still out with the chloroform, so Jarod had to carry her into the cabin and lay her out on the bed. "It shouldn’t be too much longer till your awake." He whispered to her.

THE CABIN:
20 MINUTES LATER.

"Urrrggg (cough) Where the Hell am I?" Parker asks herself warily and rubbing her head frustratingly. At the noise in the other room Jarod goes to investigate. When he opens the door she charges at him, but he puts his arm out to stop her.

"Now where do you think your going in such a hurry?" He asks her trying to keep her under control but failing miserably.

"Let go of me!" She snaps, wriggling out of Jarod’s arms.

"No, you can’t go anywhere until all the chloroform is out of your system, you could hurt yourself." He told her calmly but it wasn’t working he was losing his grip, so he spun her around so that her back was on his chest. This time he was more successful, also the chloroform was starting to kick in and making her tired. In the end she just collapses, exhausted in his arms.

After a few minutes of sitting on the floor prop up against his shins, Jarod bends down, scoops her up and carries her into the bedroom. He sat her on the bed and took off her long coat, then he moved down to her feet and took off her boots and dropped them onto the floor. He laid her out on the bed and covered her in a blanket. Before he left the room he looked at her and smiled.

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

An hour later she woke again, this time quietly, she opened the door of the bedroom and crept out. When she entered the living room she saw that Jarod was fast asleep in front of the fire in a lounge chair. She crept over and sat down in front of him without making a sound.

As if he sensed her presence he opened his eyes and looked at her. He moved a bit closer to her and with his sudden movement she spun around to face him. He stretched out his arm to her exposed neck. She jumped to her knees at his touch. He slid off the chair onto the floor in front of her.

No words needed to be spoken, they had a very special way of communicating. She stretched out her arm and traced the outline of his lips with her index finger, at her touch he moved closer to her and rested his hands on her lower back moving her closer to himself while rubbing gently in circular movements.

Her hands moved and rested on the back of his neck, she never took her eyes away from his for a second. His and Her breathing quickening as he slowly moved his hands up her back, she let out a soft moan, more like a purr, as he moved closer to kiss her. She could feel his chest rising and falling against hers, and his hot breath tumbling over her face and neck like tongues of fire.

But he couldn’t stand the agony of been away from her for a second longer, they kissed innocently at first but when they moved away to take a breath he could see that her eyes were glowing brightly. Jarod kissed her again but this time the kiss was more passionate. Parker let out a soft moan as they fell back on the floor.

"You know we can’t do this." Jarod tried to say, controlling his ragged breathing.

"Umm…Why is that?" Parker said trying to keep her thoughts clear.

"Because I have to ring Syd with my ransom." He said trying to keep control of his senses a moment longer.

"Couldn’t you just tell me your ransom." She asked, kissing along his jawbone to his tender earlobe, and nibbling on it playfully.

"Umm…Maybe I might just ask if you could be my ransom." He laughed.

Parker picked up her head and smiled at Jarod. "And just what exactly would you do with me?" She asked, hoping that he would show her.

"Well how’s this?" He asked starting to kiss up her neck to her face.

THE CENTRE.

"Shouldn’t Jarod be ringing around now?" Broots asks Sydney sounding very concerned.

"Don’t worry he’ll ring soon." Sydney tries to reassure Broots about Jarod and Parker’s safety.

"Would Miss Parker be all right, I mean Jarod…You know, he wouldn’t hurt her or anything, would he?" Broots questions Sydney’s reply.

"Oh for crying out loud Broots you are been deliberately aggravating, Jarod and Miss Parker grew up together he wouldn’t hurt her and now leave it be." Sydney argues the point with Broots.

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

Jarod woke up first and he noticed that they were in the bedroom. He turned his head downward and he could see that Parker is curled up in his arms and is sound asleep. Jarod starts to move his thumb on the tip of her shoulder. As soon as he moves his thumb a couple of times she opens her eyes. "Hello." She says sleepily.

"Do you know how beautiful you look right now?" He whispered lovingly.

"No, how?" She asked.

"You look like a angel." Parker smiled and sat up enough to kiss him. They moved away to take breath and Jarod looked into her eyes and lightly touched her face and he kisses her again. "OK, now it’s time to ring Syd." Jarod sat up and put a pair of shorts on.

"Oh, do you have to?" Parker sits up and gives Jarod a ‘lost puppy’ look.

"Yes, because if I don’t they will start to worry and it might be a bit sus." Saying it as he left the room. Parker got up and put on one of Jarod’s shirts, which come to a little above her knees.

Jarod dialed the phone for Sydney. "This is Sydney."

"Sydney, its Jarod."

"Jarod. We were starting to get worried, it’s over four hours." Sydney replies a bit panicky.

"Everything’s all right." Jarod reassures Sydney.

"How is Miss Parker?" Sydney quires.

"She’s fine, she has just been sleeping off the chloroform." Jarod laughs.

"What on earth did you need chloroform for?" Sydney asks concerned.

"Nothing happened, I just used it to keep her under control. She kept on trying to run off on me." Jarod laughs a little. Sydney laughs at Jarod’s reason for the use of chloroform.

Jarod was too busy talking to Sydney to see that Parker came out of the bedroom until she was behind him. When Parker was behind him she rested her hands on his shoulders and she started to kiss his neck and his strong jawbone.

"Is she awake yet?" Asks Sydney

"She shouldn’t be too much longer, but I’ll go and check…" He pulled the phone away from his face for a little while. "She’s awake, do you want to speak to her?" Jarod asks Sydney.

"Yes Jarod." Said Sydney. Jarod passes the phone to Parker to talk to Sydney, while he holds her and kissing her neck and jawbone.

"Hello." Parker says a bit preoccupied.

"Are you all right." He asks cautiously.

"I’m fine Syd!" She snaps.

"It’s just that we are all a bit concerned about you here." Sydney explains.

"I’m fine Syd, I just don’t really appreciate been knock out by chloroform." She turns her head and gives Jarod a dirty look. Jarod backs off with hands in the air in momentary surrender.

Jarod takes the phone back. "OK Syd, now listen carefully all I want is everyone to back off so I can find out about My past, and My family, if anything happens at all I will be forced to hurt Miss Parker."

"Jarod you know we can’t possibly do that!" Explains Sydney.

"Well I suppose I just have to keep Miss Parker with me until you have something that I want. Until then, Goodbye Syd." Jarod hangs up the phone and turns to Parker.

"Now I suppose your going to start punching me again because you have to stay here, in-the-middle of nowhere, alone, with me." Jarod smiles at her and laughs.

"I can do better than that." Parker teases and she reaches up and wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him and falls into his arms just as they hold her to him. They move away long enough to take a breath, then they kiss again and Jarod runs his hand up Parker’s bare leg to the hem of his shirt that she is wearing. Parker lets out a moan (purr) at his movement.

She pulls away from his kiss to ask him a question. "Jarod?"

"Umm…" A bit preoccupied in kissing her neck and along her jawbone to her earlobe.

"Why did you knock me out with chloroform?" Parker asks.

"Umm…I did it so that you couldn’t see where I was taking you…Also so I could carry you in my arms…And maybe…Be able to watch you sleep." Jarod finally says.

"Well I can tell you now, you didn’t have to drug to be able to do any of that."

Parker looks at Jarod with her eyes blazing and she smiled at him. Jarod smiled at what she had said and he kissed her. When they were starting to get lost more and more by the minute and losing control of their senses, Jarod picks Parker up and carries her into the bedroom, still kissing her.

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

The next morning Parker woke up first, she could see Jarod was lying next to her and he was holding her in his arms. Parker smiled and got out of bed and put on Jarod’s shirt that she was wearing the day before and went to make some breakfast.

Jarod woke up a few minutes after she left, he smiled, he was thinking of her, as he always did but this time was different. At this point in time he felt as though they had a normal life, and there was no such thing as The Centre, and she wasn’t so cold and shut out people that care about her. It makes him so angry because when they were children, she was so happy, so full of life and now she has shut everybody out of her life because she doesn’t want to get hurt again. And frankly who could blame her for not trusting anyone. Jarod got up and put some shorts on so he could go look for her.

He found her in the kitchen drinking some coffee, looking out the window. Jarod crept up behind her and started to kiss her neck. "Morning…You scared me." She laughed.

"Sorry, what are you doing up so early?" He asked

"I didn’t want to wake you so I just got up to get some coffee." She smiled.

"If only Syd could see how happy you are." He said sincerely. She stopped smiling.

"When I’m not near The Centre or anyone who has anything to do with it, I’m OK. But when I go to work I turn into this calculating, cold-blooded, heartless, monster…And it scares me." Parker says sadly and walks over to the window away from Jarod.

Jarod walks over to her slowly and wraps his arms around her shoulders. Parker rests her head on his shoulder in near his neck. "What have they done to you since we were kids? You used to be so happy and warm." Jarod whispers.

"My life hasn’t been easy, ever since I can remember I’ve always been living in your shadow. Then when you left I missed seeing you every time I went to work. And it just made me so angry, I thought you were trying to punish me, so to punish you I started to hunt you down to bring you back to The Centre. All the pain and stress just builds up and it eventually starts to eat away at your soul until you have none left." Parker says softly.

"I’m so sorry that my running away screwed you up." Jarod tried to comfort her.

"It’s not you fault, it also had a lot to do with my Father, and all the lies he told me to cover up Mo…Momma’s death." Parker starts to cry and Jarod turns her around to face him and puts her head on his shoulder and strokes it softly to comfort her while she cries.

The phone rings. "Hello." Jarod answers the phone.

"Jarod it’s Sydney, have you thought of what you want for your ransom?" Sydney asks.

Jarod thinks for a minute. "Yes, I have Syd, I want Miss Parker with me. The Centre has caused her so much pain all ready and after seeing her as a child and then now, it just hurts so much inside to see anyone that I care about break down like she just did now…Well Syd, I will ring back in one hour for your answer. Bye Syd."

"Bye Jarod and I’ll see what I can do here." Sydney hangs up.

"Did you mean what you said?" Parker stops crying.

"Yes, it just rips me up inside to see you in so much pain. I just want you to be happy like you used to be." Jarod smiles. She hugs him.

THE CENTRE:
SAME TIME.

"We can’t possibly do that." Raines wheezes trying not to get angry anymore than usual.

"What are you afraid of? That Miss Parker would start talking if she is set free? Come off it Mr Raines I know Miss Parker better than anyone in this room and I know for a fact that she wouldn’t do that!" Sydney snaps at Raines.

"It just can’t be done…What does Jarod want Miss Parker for anyway? She would just slow him done and make it easier for us to catch him…And her." Raines argues.

"I think that if Miss Parker works with Jarod they would be unstoppable and then we would never catch either of them, because she knows how we operate." Sydney smiles at the thought of Jarod and Miss Parker together.

"That’s my point, she has worked for us she knows how we work and what makes us tick, it might be better to track them down and bring them back against their will, dead or alive if necessary." Raines kind of smiles. Mr Parker walks in.

"I heard what you said. There is no way in Hell that you’re going to hunt down my daughter and kill her! Even if it’s only an accident, if she gets hurt in any way I will come straight to your office and put a bullet in your head. And another thing it’s Jarod that we’re hunting not my daughter." Mr Parker snaps at Raines. Mr Parker goes to leave the room but before he goes he says. "Have you thought of maybe setting a trap about his family and wait for him to come and then catch him? Umm?" He exits.

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

Jarod and Parker are sitting on the couch in the cabin and they are talking. Parker is resting her head on Jarod’s chest. "What will happen if they don’t let me stay with you?" Parker asks Jarod.

"I don’t know, they might say ‘yes’, but then sneak around and try and catch us. Or they might try to…" Jarod stops suddenly.

Parker sits up. "They might try what? Jarod you have to tell me!" She orders him.

"They might try to have one of us…Or both of us killed…It’s a long shot but they might just try it." Jarod stares into the fire. Parker gets up and walks away from Jarod.

"Somehow I already knew…" Parker starts to pace like a wild animal, caged, and all Jarod can do is try talking to her. He has seen her like this before when she goes like this. When you think it is safe to try something she would turn on you and tear you to pieces. Jarod thinks this time shouldn’t be any different, so he stays seated.

"I’m sorry you had to hear that." Jarod whispers.

"It’s not your fault…My father can’t know about this because he wouldn’t let anything happen to ‘his guardian angel’." She states coldly and Jarod shrinks away from her tone.

The phone rings.

"Hello." Jarod answers the phone.

"Jarod it’s Sydney, can I speak to Miss Parker for a minute?" Sydney asks out of breath.

"Yeah, she’s just here…Its Sydney." Jarod hands the phone to her.

"What’s wrong Syd?" She barks a little.

"It’s Raines, he wants you and Jarod back at The Centre…" Sydney rushes.

"Well that’s nothing new." Parker interrupts Sydney.

"…But that’s not all of it…He said he wants YOU back dead or alive…" Sydney finally blurts out. Since Jarod was starting to bring down her shield the shock of what Sydney had said and other things were just too much for her. Parker turns white as a sheet, drops the phone, and faints. "Miss Parker, are you there?" Sydney yells.

"Sydney what the HELL did you say to Miss Parker? She just dropped the phone and fainted!" Jarod snaps at Sydney.

"I’m sorry Jarod, but Raines said that he wants Miss Parker back dead or alive." Sydney whispers.

"What the Hell?" Jarod snaps.

"He won’t agree to your ransom." Sydney replies.

"I can’t talk now Syd I have to help Miss Parker." Jarod hangs up abruptly and drops the phone on the table. Jarod lifts Miss Parker into his arms and lays her out on the couch.

"Come on Sweetie…I won’t let him hurt you…I promise." Jarod says gently, tapping her cheeks lightly.

After a few minutes Parker moans softly, opens her eyes and whispers. "The last promise you made to me you broke." She starts to cry. Jarod picks her up and holds her close, rocking back and forth slowly.

"I didn’t mean to…I just needed to find out who I was, who my family was. But I always loved you even thou I wasn’t with you all the time." He whispers lovingly. "Now come on…Please stop crying…I can’t bear to see you cry or to know I cause you any unhappiness." Jarod encourages and touches her chin firmly but gently to try and stop her from crying.

"I don’t want to die Jarod." She whispers, terrified of what might happen to her and him if Raines finds them.

"You won’t and I won’t either." He said firmly and reassuring. "I’m going to go and ring Syd to organise everything." Jarod says sadly.

"What are you going to do?" Parker asks urgently.

"Well I’m going to get him to meet me somewhere and hand you over." Jarod says softly.

"Like Hell you are!" Parker snaps.

"Now don’t argue, I don’t want you to get hurt but if I keep you with me that’s what is going to happen…Don’t worry I will come and see you when the time is convenient." Jarod tries to soothe her quick, bad temper.

"So now I’m coming second to all your POOR and HEPLESS people, thanks a lot." Parker snaps and she goes to walk outside.

"And where the Hell do you think your going!" Jarod snaps back with his tone matching hers.

"I’m going home and I don’t care if I never see you again!" When she goes to open the door she just falls in a heap on the floor. "I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like that I’m just so scared of what might happen." Parker breaks down. Jarod walks over to her and picks her up and carries her into the bedroom, lays her out, and lies down next to her and holds her while she cries.

"I didn’t mean that you would be coming second. What I meant was that you were at home…ALONE." He whispers softly.

"I’m sorry about what I just said. I just had to let off some steam about what has happened over these couple of days. I didn’t mean to get so angry it’s just when I get angry or scared it’s the only way I know how to go back to normal." Parker looks at Jarod with sincere eyes.

"Don’t worry about it. Now do you have any objections with me calling Syd now?" Jarod looks at Parker with humor in his eyes. Parker shakes her head in response.

"But before you do." Parker says seductively moving her hand to sit on his shoulder. She strokes gently in circular movements. Jarod pulls her on top of him and brushes her hair out of her face and strokes her skin lighter than a feather. They kiss.

"I really should ring Sydney now." Jarod says when they start to forget themselves more and more by the minute, kissing her one more time Jarod dials for Sydney.

"This is Sydney."

"Sydney, its Jarod."

"Jarod, how is Miss Parker?" Sounding very concerned.

"She’s awake again but there is something else wrong, but I don’t know what." Jarod looks at Parker lovingly and touches her face softly.

"I’m sorry about what I said earlier." Sydney apologises.

"Its OK Syd. I am going to give Miss Parker back to The Centre, after what you said we had a talk and we think it’s best for her to go back cause I don’t want her to get hurt." Jarod explained. "Now Syd I want you to meet me in the Goldwood forest at 2.30 tomorrow. I won’t come out if there is anybody with you." Jarod relays.

"OK Jarod…What about Miss Parker’s father?" Sydney asks.

"OK, but no one else." Jarod rushes.

"Bye Syd."

Bye Jarod." But it was to late Jarod had already hung up.

"OK Honey, we have until 2.30 tomorrow to be together, and your father is going to meet us with Syd." Parker looks at Jarod with sad eyes. "Oh…Come on Sweetie I thought you would be happy to see Syd and your father again. What’s wrong?" Jarod is trying to make Parker smile.

"I should be happy…But I’m not because I don’t want to be away from you and God knows when I’ll see you again." Parker’s eyes fill with tears.

"Don’t worry I’ll see you in a day or two and if you stay at home it might be sooner." Jarod soothes and he holds Parker until her spirits rise up.

"They might try and catch you tomorrow." Parker whispers.

"If they do catch me you will be able to see me at work." Jarod laughs

"I don’t find that at all funny." Parker glares at him.

"I’m sorry Sweetie." Jarod starts to softly rub Parker’s back and she relaxes into his arms.

The next morning Jarod wakes up first, and Parker is asleep in his arms. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes again wishing this moment would last forever because she is happy and she is starting to let down her guard with him, starting to trust him.

A few minutes later he opened his eyes and he could see that Parker had her eyes open and she was looking at him and smiling. "Morning." She says sleepily.

"How are you feeling?" Roughly knowing that she would be back in her normal, everyday, mental state.

"Fine, what’s the time?" She asks not really caring.

"Quarter past nine." Jarod says starting to rub her back softly.

"How long does it take to get to the drop point?" She asks trying to make small talk.

"Around half-an-hour, so we have over four hours of time to spare." He says starting to kiss her face.

"Now don’t start that again…I’m sure we can find something else to do…For over four hours." Parker finally says but she can’t control herself a second longer, she looks at Jarod and they kiss. They move away long enough to take a breath and Jarod fumbles to get the two-top shirt buttons open. When he finally gets them open he is seeking her soft neck. She lets out a soft moan and rolls on top of Jarod and they kiss again.

3 HOURS LATER.

"You know we have to stop doing this." Jarod says in between kisses.

"Why is that…?" Parker says kissing along his jawbone, down his neck and onto his chest.

"Umm…We could forget the time and miss the rendezvous." Jarod says having trouble controlling his senses.

"So what’s the time?" Parker asks Jarod a little out of breath.

"We have an hour and 15 minutes till it’s time to go." Starting to lose themselves more and more by the minute. But Parker comes back to reality.

"Jarod…Come on you have to stop now because we’ll have to get going soon and we’ll need…To be early so we now what they are doing…I know you don’t want to stop, I don’t either but we have too."

Jarod regains control of his senses again but he really doesn’t want to. "You’re right…But before we start getting ready…" Jarod kisses Parker. He moved along her jawbone. It begins again.

"Jarod…If you start again, I probably won’t be able to stop you. Now come on we’ll probably be together again in a day or two, you said so yourself. And before you say or do anything to change my mind I’m going to get dressed, OK and there aren’t going to be any BUTS about it." Parker commands Jarod to regain control of his senses.

"Your right…Boy you can be bossy when you want to be, can’t you?" He laughs.

"Oh shut up!" She snaps sarcastically. She exits the room to go to the room that hooks onto the bedroom to get dressed in the clothes that she was wearing the day she got ‘kidnapped’.

GOLDWOOD FOREST:
1.50P.M.

Jarod and Parker pull up just a walk away from the drop point but they can’t see anyone. Jarod turns to face Parker with something in his eyes that she knew all to well. Jarod leans over to kiss her. "Jarod don’t even think about it, they could be here and we just can’t see them, and then where would we be?" Parker tries to stop Jarod but he ignores her and kisses her anyway.

After the kiss Jarod asked sarcastically. "Did you say something?"

"Jarod did you know you SHIT me?" Parker snaps a little.

"Well! Is that anyway to speak to me after what happened yesterday and last night?" He said trying to sound sincere but trying to keep the humor out of his voice.

"What was that?" Parker asks with a start.

"Shh." Jarod silences her. They sit quietly in the van, waiting, watching, and listening. Then they see The Centre’s limo pull up and they see Sydney and Mr Parker get out. "It’s show time." Jarod says with a sad smile. They get out of the van.

"Hello Sydney, Mr Parker." Jarod says trying to keep the coldness out of his tone. "Well here’s Miss Parker like I promised." Jarod says sadly.

"Oh…Angel are you all right?" Mr Parker asks her, trying not to cry.

"Thank you Jarod." Sydney says sincerely.

"I’m fine Daddy, don’t worry." Parker says trying to bring her ice shield back on, on command. But it was no use Jarod had melted it.

"Now Sydney I really must be going." And before Sydney can respond Jarod disappears into the greenery. Mr Parker opens the limo door for Parker to get in.

"I’m glad to have you back Angel, I thought Raines might have found you and Jarod, before we could get you back." Mr Parker says happily.
