The investigations on Lyle's whereabouts was long and
painful, but Miss Parker almost didn't remember that. She had never been happier
since Thomas' death, because she had her "lost" daughter with her and
she had turned out to be a good mother.
In a beautiful morning, Miss
Parker and Kate were in the Tower, when Broots got in, a little tired (Miss
Parker's change of office was not very good for him), with fresh informations on
Lyle's whereabouts.
"Wow!" Kate said as
soon as she looked at them "These are really precise informations. Uhmm...
He went to the Big Apple. More precisely to Chinatown. I think we will be able
to cathch him this time."
"Do you really think so?"
Parker asked, and then continued "Lyle is a real escaping master... Just
like Jarod."
"Yes! But Lyle doesn't have an
insider in The Centre like Jarod does." Said Kate.
"Ohh! Jarod has an insider in The
Centre?!" Miss Parker said.
"Oupps!!!"
"OK! I got it. You don't wanna talk
about it."
"Well... Anyway, let's go catch Lyle. He's The
Centre's #1 target."
"What are you still doing
here?" Miss Parker said sarcastctly with a strangly kind smile on her lips.
