In a beautiful morning, when Miss Parker
enters her office at The Centre, she finds an envelop in her desk with Jarod's
handwriting. She opened it quickly and found a DSA with a message saying
"It's happening again." Parker immediately put the DSA in the machine
and saw a pretty familiar image: a simulation made by Jarod when he was young.
Miss Parker immediately goes to Sydney's
office. When she finally gets there and shows the DSA and the message to him,
Jarod's mentor said what she was so afraid to hear:
"The Centre's got a new
pretender."
Miss Parker felt very sick with her stomach,
mostly, like it wasn't enough that her mother died because of the pretenders and
The Centre had made a clone of Jarod, they still have to get a new pretender.
She needed to find and help that pretender, because the memory of her mother
didn't let her conscience alone and she didn't want to look away anymore.
Parker hurried to Broots' work place and
demanded:
"I want you to find if The Centre has
got a new pretender, ASAP."
"Wh...at...? You want
m...mme tooo...to find if there's a...a...new pretender?"
"YES! And see if it is
possible for you to talk faster!

Days gone by and Miss Parker looked worse at
the moment. Just the idea of a new life ruined by The Centre didn't let her
sleep.
In the middle of the afternoon, Broots
rushed into Miss Parker's office and said almost screaming:
"The Centre has got a new pretender
girl!"
"Keep your voice
down!"
"Mm... Sorry."
"You said
girl!!!???"
"Yes. She's a 15 year old girl and her
name is ... Cath..." And he blocked.
"I was really enjoying your speed
talking...What's her name?"
"Well, I don't know if you are
going to like it, but her name is Catherine." He finally said white as snow.
"What?" She asked in her usually tone
of voice: cold as ice.
"Catherine."
After a brief moment of silence, Miss Parker
asked:
"And where is
she?"
"She has been in Donoterase
and was now transported to SL-27."
Miss Parker left in a hurry and without a
word rushed to SL-27, while Broots was standing like a statue in her office.
Parker walked and walked and she finally
found a dark and ugly room where a girl was sitting in the corner. When Miss
Parker sees her, a 9mm gunshot is heard.
