No e-mail, havia um anexo de uma musica:

Quando a musica acabou, ela fechou os olhos levemente e sentiu em sua face duas pequenas gotas que insistiam em cair.

Então de repente Broots entra acompanhado de Sydney. MP enxuga rapidamente, mas não a tempo de esconder de Sydney suas lagrimas.

Depois que Broots sai deixando apenas MP e Sydney, ele a olha com aquela cara dele de “conta logo”.

Sydney: O q foi, Parker?

MP: O que foi o q?

Syd: Eu vi vc chorando

Mp: Acho que estou ficando gripada, algum problema com isso?

Syd(sorrindo): Nenhum

MP: Fico feliz em saber!

Nesse momento o telefone de MP toca, ela olha pra Sydney e ele entende o recado: FORA!. Era Jarod

Jarod: VC esta bem?

MP: Qual é?

Jarod: Qual é???

MP: Desembucha!! O que vc quer de min agora?

JD: Vc recebeu meu e-mail?

MP: Sim, pq?

JD: Vc gostou?

MP: Vc se importa?

JD: Pode apostar q sim!

MP: Por que Jarod??Pq vc faz isso comigo??

JD: Por q eu gosto de vc...

MP: Aquela musica......vc num deveria...

JD: Esta na hora disso acabar...

MP: eu seu mas...

JD : Apenas pense em tudo o q nós passamos juntos...por favor...

MP: Eu já pensei...

JD: e qual é a resposta?

MP: Eu sinto muito mas...não posso.

MP desliga o telefone, quase q morrendo por dentro. Jarod acabara de lhe oferecer uma nova vida, uma nova chance, mas ela recusara tudo. Mas por mas triste q ela se sentia por ter recusado um segunda chance, havia algo dentro dela, q a cortava como uma faca, ela acabara de dizer “não posso”, pra primeiro garoto que ela amou, que q de certa forma ainda amava, isso a machucava mas ainda.

Miss Parker abriu seu e-mail novamente e ouviu a musica mas uma vez. Quase que chorando.
